Just seen this 3 bed semi in Cranfield, on the market for £139,995 and already tenanted until September 2015 for £750 per month! It looks like quite a good deal, not many 3 bed semi's for £140k around the area, and Cranfield has a demand for tenants because of the University. If this can be bought for £135,000 then its a 6.66% gross yield - pretty good!
Could be a couple of potential hazards - Tenancy would need to be checked (and tenant history) to make sure the buyer doesn't inherit any problems. And if its let to 2 or 3 unrelated tenants the property may fall into HMO territory, meaning a whole raft of potential issues. These would all need checking by a good solicitor, and i'm sure any problems could be negotiated or overcome.
